Health Coaching

Stress is best defined as the perception of physical or psychological threat. While we are no longer threatened by predatory species, our bodies and minds have started perceiving everyday situations, such as traffic, career stress, and endless to-do lists as threatening. To prevent illness, we must learn to reduce stress; and to reduce stress, we must consider what impacts a person’s life, such as their relationships, career, and spirituality. A complete approach considers them all, and health coaches are a modern application of that approach. They work with clients to find balance in every area of their lives, understanding that true nourishment is not just about the food on your plate, but what is happening in your everyday life.

Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches practice around the world, including the concept of bio-individuality—one man’s food is another man’s poison. Beyond that, we will coach how to take back control of your own health—not just your physical health, but your mental, emotional, and physical health as well.

Q. What does we as a health coach do?

A. A health coach can spend the time to help someone figure out what their personal health and wellness issues are, how they intersect and affect them holistically and help them develop strategies to overcome them, whether it's that they want to lose weight, reduce stress, sleep better or lower the risk of chronic diseases such as Cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Q. Why might people be looking for a health coach?
A. Most people know what they should be doing to improve their health and prevent various diseases—the best diet plan for them as individuals, the right type of exercise—but they may not actually be doing these things! They don't have the know-how; they're confused by all the conflicting information out there and the competing diets, as well as all the studies being reported. A health coach can support them by homing in on the health and diet information that's relevant to them as individuals. They can provide step-by-step tools to create permanent changes for their health and well-being.

Q. How often do you meet online or communicate online?
A. Typically, you meet with us once a month for about an hour. It can be over WhatsApp or Zoom. Or if you like we can meet in person. The program lasts anywhere from three months to six months to longer. The rest of the other moments will be thru our app.
